My girlfriend and I spent just a couple of days at the Homestead near the end of summer and we had a terrific experience all around! Some of the neat perks that we enjoyed were a mini refrigerator in our unit, beach towels and beach chairs if we needed them, a screened in porch to relax in the mornings and evenings, ample parking space, and complementary coffee at all times (not to mention fresh water and ice as well)! The decor was quite nice and the rooms were impeccably clean. And the breakfasts were quite good, with ample continental choices along with a different specialty each morning. And then, of course, Joe and David were very hospitable to all of the guests, many of whom brought their dogs, which for us was an extra added bonus! I can't think of one thing we didn't like about our experience. They've covered all the details! We would/will happily return to the Homestead!

Dog-Friendly Bed and Breakfast This place was amazing. Joe and David were very accommodating and the stay was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast area was very nice and had ice, water, coffee, tea etc available 24 hours a day. The room was very nice and we slept great. Everything was immaculate and the whole house was decorated very very nicely!! There was a fenced in patio, and a fenced in play area. The play area also had a brand new gazebo for the dog owners to sit and watch the dogs play. The gazebo also had strings of lights around the top which made it very cozy at night too!! There's a doggy shower outside and they provided doggy beach towels which was very handy. The gardens and landscaping are amazing. Everything about this place feels planned out and very neat/organized. I can't say enough about how welcoming Joe and David are and how beautiful Homestead is. I really hope we get a chance to come back again!!

Joe and David have carved out a little slice of awesome. I'm really impressed. I typically don't care for B&B's, but was booked here as a member of a wedding party. The place was very cleaned, smelled great, the linens and towels smelled fresh, and were very soft. The breakfast was tasty, and the internet held out (for the most part). The bathrooms were immaculate. The dog park looked great, and I can imagine a dog feeling very comfortable here. They have a variety of dog towels and gear for pups in the main dining room in the house. I did not have a chance to stay with a dog, but, so long as your dog is well behaved, I'm sure it'd be a pleasant stay for him too. Highly recommend this place.

We just got back home to Philadelphia and are already planning our trip back to the Homestead at Rehoboth Bed & Breakfast. Joe and David were warm and friendly and very accommodating to our arrival time. The room we stayed in (The sunflower room) was spacious and cozy at the same time. It was clean with all the necessary amenities and the bed was super comfortable! The daily breakfast were delicious and included home baked goods as well as a variety of hot foods (Really, everything was wonderful and they made a point to use some local ingredients). We were having such a good time that on the whim, we decided to stay another night. They allowed us to stay and we did not want to leave--they even discounted our extra night which was very gracious of them to do so. We are looking forward to coming back here when the weather gets warmer and brining along the pup as the place is super pet friendly. The location is close to everything there is to do (Dogfish head brewery, the boardwalk, all the shops and restaurants and outlets). We can honestly say we do not have a single bad thing to say about our stay. We highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a home away from home when visiting Rehoboth!

Above Board, We love to bring our dog on vacation with us and found this B and B on a dog-friendly website. The location is great. We were ten minutes from Rehobeth, 15 minutes from dog friendly beaches, and right next to the outlets. As far as the accomodations, we were quite comfortable. The decor is warm, and the owners provide everything a pet owner would need including special towels and bowls for the dog and an outdoor shower. The room was clean and stocked with snacks (quite affordable). The breakfast was delicious, too. This experience was really great for us. The only aspect that we didn't like so much was the latex mattress, as it wasn't very supportive. But, after a long day of swimming at the beach, we slept very well!

My then-fiance and I stayed here over Christmas last year. Joe and David were so welcoming even though we showed up on Christmas Day! Everything was neat as a pin, it smelled wonderful when you walked in the door, and we were very comfortable in our room, along with our dog. I was served the most incredible vegan pancakes for breakfast which I am still dreaming about. We will look forward to coming back.

We loved our stay at the Homestead. The rooms were immaculate and our bed was super comfortable. We also had a huge bathroom which was great. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The owners were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Our dog loved her stay as well and made a few good dog friends. The yards in the back were great for taking her out. We will definitely be returning.

I purchased a Living Social voucher for a two-day stay at this B&B but never got to use it. We had to cancel due to a family medical emergency and were not given any latitude from the B&B proprietors to either redeem the promotional or face value (clearly outlined in bold letters on the bottom of the voucher) at a later date or towards a future reservation. To make matters worse, Living Social offered no mediation or refund (except for $30 deal bucks to make up for the "inconvenience"). My current response to this "inconvenience" is a dispute claim through my credit card company. Regarding the B&B, if first impressions speak the loudest, then this place is one to avoid. From the initial reservation process to the numerous email and phone discussions regarding the possibility of holding the room, etc., to being able to reschedule with monies already paid out, the constant theme throughout was all about satisfying the proprietors' terms, conditions, and sleep schedule. They had already received payment in full for the room from Living Social, yet they still ranted about taking "the financial responsibility" for the cancellation. What they did offer up, out of the kindness of their heart, was "20% off all future reservations until the entire value paid for the voucher is satisfied." Yes, how prosperous for them! When I returned with "how about consolidating all those 20%'s into one reservation?", I didn't get a response. (The proprietor later said the reason was because "he wanted to sleep on it.") Here's another tidbit of discrepancy. At one point, we discussed check-in times which is set between 3 to 7pm. According to their website, check-ins after 11pm would be charged a $25 late fee. Yet, when I asked about checking in after 7pm, the proprietor said he might have to charge me an extra $25. "Really?", I asked, to which he said they normally "had to get into their pj's and into bed by 9:30." The Homestead B&B might tout themselves as being big-time "pet-friendly," but I certainly didn't pick up that they were in the least bit "human-friendly."

Nothing bad to say about this awesome BnB. Joe and David were incredibly friendly and accommodating at the included breakfast was better than most restaurants in the area. Our bed was very comfortable and or dog Clyde loved it as well. I believe I read it was Adult Only but I could be mistaken. I would even recommend this to a dog-less friends as we were very comfortable.

This place is special. I needed a dog friendly rental that wouldn't mind an 8-month old large puppy and an older medium-sized dog. I feel incredibly fortunate that a friend found this place. We rented the cottage for three days and couldn't have been happier. First, the grounds are lovely. There was a private, fenced backyard with a grill, patio and lots of spots to sit down, relax and just lounge plus plenty of room to play a little fetch. Second, the owners are really nice and they fix a great breakfast. Third, they left out all kinds of convenient items for the pups -- sheets to cover the couches for puppy nap time, towels for wet paws, even a couple of toys. It's just a few minutes from the beach and boardwalk by car and near lots of outlet shopping. I can't wait to go back.

This was only my second experience staying at a B&B, but my boyfriend and I absolutely loved it. We were there back in October celebrating our anniversary, and we took our 4 month old pup, Bob Barker, with us. Joe and David were super nice and accommodating. Their breakfasts were amazing. They had a nice common area with water, coffee, and tea. They also had a great selection of games that we enjoyed while out on the porch drinking wine. Bob Barker loved it as well. He enjoyed the fenced off area in the yard, and also found the accommodations to be very comfortable. They also left treats for him in the room, and had extra towels, and food bowls available if we had forgotten anything. We would definitely go back!

Only good things to say about our stay at Homestead B&B in Rehoboth! My family and I booked three rooms for the weekend. We ranged in age from 15 to 80 and everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. Joe and David were so sweet and accommodating. This dog friendly B&B was amazingly clean! Other guests had well behaved dogs and it was fun to visit with them. Our time spent in the dining room chatting with the innkeepers and other guests was the highlight of our trip! Breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. All rooms are charming and comfortable. The location offers easy access to Lewes, Rehoboth and points beyond. On our next visit we will book the cottage behind the main house...so charming! Thank you Joe and David!

Tucked away in a residential area, this B&B is a great place for those who want to bring their dogs to Rehoboth & Dewey Beaches. It's tough to find pet-friendly hotels that are clean and comfortable, and this was surprisingly clean, comfortable and very welcoming. It's more like a shore house/country shabby chic decor than your standard victorian B & B. They don't require you to crate the dog and allow you to leave well-behaved dogs in the room alone for short periods of time. They offered a continental style breakfast which was OK. Muffins, yogurt, granola, cereal, hard boiled eggs, OJ, milk, coffee/tea machine. We stayed in the Garden Room, which is the only one on the first floor. There's a private bathroom and private door to the wrap-around porch (which is screened to keep you mosquito-bite free). Cable TV and DVDs are available to borrow. Window A/C unit and ceiling fan. Towels and linens were clean. There's a dog shower outside and they have towels for the dogs too! Not a single pet odor detected in the room. They have beach chairs and towels you can borrow. The innkeeper was super nice and very helpful in finding places to bring the dog. She showed us on a map where to park and take the dog to the beach. There is a wire-fenced dog area in the yard, which is moderately sized (maybe 50 x 50 feet?) and equipped with some lawn chairs and a few toys. I wonder why it isn't a little bigger considering the property is 2 acres, but it sufficed. We also took our dog for a walk around a suburban neighborhood nearby. Overall, I was impressed and would definitely stay here again. Our choice was either this or the Sea Esta III, and we are so glad we chose this B&B!

I normally stick to restaurants, as everything else can be so "depends on the customer" but... what a wonderful place -- no, it's not close to the water. No, it doesn't have a playground for your kids or a pool at which you can dump and subsequently ignore them. Take your kids to the divey zoo that is Ocean City. But if you want a quiet, adult weekend stay, and you have a dog who means more to you and is better behaved than most children, this is the place to go. It has a -wonderful- inkeeper who warmly welcomes and encourages dogs as guests, and does her best to make everyone feel welcome. While not the Ultimate Role Model for pet-friendliness (sorry, but no one beets Kimpton for that, period), in an area that seems pretty dog-hostile, this was a great find. Our stay included a nice breakfast in the morning, a nicely decorated room (warning - one of them does -not- have an en suite bath... be sure to ask if it matters to you... it's across the hall, and "reserved" for one specific room, but if you like to wander from your shower to your bedroom in a towel, you best either be rather immodest or you'll be disappointed). Warm and welcoming innkeeper. Etc. I'm not much for B&Bs (I like my anonymity, elevators, card keys, room service and no forced morning interactions with other guests over communal breakfast) but to each their own. And I've stayed in enough of them to know that if you want a very nice, nicely appointed, well decorated, cozy B&B -- and you want to bring your well-behaved dog of any size -- you won't go wrong here.
